  Types of YarnYou can classify yarn in many different ways. You can classify yarn by fiber or by weight, in this section we attempt to classify yarn by type. What do we mean when we classify types of yarn, well for example baby yarn would include all yarn made specifically to be used in the construction of articles for babies (booties, hats, sweaters, layettes, blankets, etc.). Here is another example - sock yarn, in this category we would list all available yarn we carry manufactured to make socks. There are other yarn types that aren’t so straight forward, for example tweed yarn, this is a yarn that is speckled, or eyelash yarn, a yarn that creates a fur look.
