A soft 4-ply worsted weight yarn in a wide range of colors that allows the crafter of today to make a positive environmental impact while doing something they know and love. Every 10 skeins of Simply Soft Eco saves 6 plastic bottles from America's landfills. Simply Soft Eco is a new blended yarn from Caron International that consists of 80% of our Simply Soft fiber and 20% of a specially processed fiber produced from recycled plastic bottles. The recycled plastic bottles are thoroughly cleaned and refined, a process that completely removes any residue from the plastic bottles. This assures a fresh, clean yarn. Simply Soft Eco is soft to the touch, easy to work with and environmentally friendly. It can be used in any project that calls for Medium Weight (#4) yarn. A notable characteristic of about one quarter of the darker shades is white flecks randomly dispersed throughout the yarn. These are the result of the specially processed fiber from the recycled plastic bottles.
